Hey folks, I’m helping a friend set up a small café downtown and we’re thinking of changing the locks and maybe adding keypad entry for staff. We don’t want anything fancy, just something reliable that doesn’t jam after a few months. Do any of the local locksmiths handle business setups like that?
Yeah, totally — my workplace used one from Locksmiths in Kingston, ON to upgrade to electronic keypads and master key systems. They even helped rekey the back door so our deliveries could come in without mixing keys. Most of them list commercial services, so just call and ask for an estimate — they’ll usually walk you through brands and hardware options that fit small businesses.
I’m not in business myself, but I’ve noticed some shops downtown switching to digital locks recently — probably saves them the trouble of lost keys. Cool to see local tradespeople doing that kind of work instead of big chains.
